IAFF President Tours Milliken Headquarters

On the morning of May 20th, President Edward A. Kelly and associates of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) were welcomed into Milliken’s Spartanburg headquarters. I had the honor of conducting a tour of the Fire Service Laboratory, a state of the art research and development laboratory devoted to the production of safe and effective PFAs-free turnout gear for firefighters. As the lead technician and safety owner, I was able to demonstrate my expertise on the intensive testing that ensures the safety and comfortability of firefighters in the field. Milliken joined President Kelly in signing the IAFF’s Manufacturer Code of Conduct for Fire Fighter Protective Clothing and Equipment, committing to principles of safety, honesty, and transparency in the manufacturing of turnout gear.
